The engineering conversation that most suppliers skip.
Most motion control suppliers route your inquiry to a regional sales representative who checks a product matrix and returns a part number. If the catalog has something close, you get a quote. If it doesn't, you get a referral.
TelcoMotion application support works differently. Your inquiry goes directly to an application engineer who understands motor physics, drive systems, thermal management, and mechanical integration — someone who can evaluate your requirements against our full capability set and tell you whether a standard platform, a modified configuration, or a custom design is the right approach.
This isn't a premium support tier. It's how every TelcoMotion engagement starts. The 48-hour response commitment applies whether you're specifying a single motor or scoping a multi-year production program.
From early-stage sizing through production troubleshooting
Motor & System Selection
You describe the application — load, speed, duty cycle, environment, envelope, budget. We recommend the motor platform, winding configuration, gearhead ratio, and drive approach that best fits. If multiple approaches are viable, we present the tradeoffs so your team can make an informed decision.
Early-stage product development, new application scoping, competitive replacement evaluations, motor technology comparisons (AC vs. BLDC, stepper vs. servo).
Application Sizing & Validation
Torque calculations, speed-torque curve analysis, thermal modeling, and duty cycle validation. We verify that the proposed motion system will perform across your full operating envelope — not just at the rated point — before committing to a prototype.
You’ve identified a motor platform but need engineering confirmation that it meets your requirements across all operating conditions, ambient ranges, and duty cycle scenarios.
Drive & Controls Integration
Motor-drive matching, encoder interface specification, communication protocol selection, and control loop tuning guidance. We ensure the motor, drive, and controller work as a coordinated system — especially critical when integrating TelcoMotion motors into existing control architectures.
Retrofit programs, migration from a discontinued motor, integration with existing PLC/controller platforms, first-time BLDC or servo adoption.
Mechanical Integration
Mounting interface recommendations, shaft configuration, coupling selection, and vibration isolation guidance. We work from your CAD models and assembly drawings to ensure the motion system fits your product — mechanically and thermally — without surprises at prototype.
Tight envelope constraints, unusual mounting orientations, high radial or axial load conditions, applications where motor heat affects adjacent components.
Prototype Support
Engineering support during your prototype build and validation phase. This includes test plan development, performance data interpretation, and rapid iteration on winding, gearing, or drive parameters based on your test results.
First prototype evaluation, performance shortfalls against specification, unexpected thermal or acoustic behavior, integration issues during system-level testing.
Production Ramp & Ongoing Support
Engineering support doesn’t end at production release. We assist with first article inspection, production process validation, incoming inspection criteria, and ongoing technical support for field issues, design revisions, or volume changes.
Transition from prototype to production, second-source qualification, end-of-life component substitutions, field failure analysis, design changes.
Three ways to engage — all of them start with an engineer
Quick Technical Question
You have a spec question, a selection question, or a feasibility question. Email or call. An application engineer responds within 48 hours with a direct answer — not a brochure.
Application Review
You send us your full application requirements — load profile, environment, envelope, drive electronics, production volume. We return a written recommendation with motor/system selection, preliminary specification, and budgetary estimate.
Embedded Program Support
For complex programs or long-running production relationships, a dedicated application engineer serves as your ongoing technical contact. They know your product, your history, and your preferences — no re-explaining the application every time you call.
What you get from TelcoMotion application support that you don't get from a catalog search
When your application needs more than a motor recommendation
Application support at TelcoMotion is the front door to the full platform ecosystem. When a conversation about motor selection reveals a broader need, we route you to the right capability.
Custom Motion Control Engineering
When your application requires winding optimization, custom laminations, or a ground-up motor design.

When your program needs parallel engineering from concept through production release.
Co-development →Turnkey Assembly Services
When you need complete subassemblies — motor, gearbox, wiring, housing — built, tested, and delivered install-ready.
Contract manufacturing →Kyneks Automation

Common questions about application support
Is there a cost for application engineering support?
No. Application support — motor selection, sizing validation, integration guidance — is included with every TelcoMotion engagement. There’s no billable-hours model for pre-production engineering. We invest in getting the specification right because it eliminates problems downstream.
How fast do you respond to technical inquiries?
48 hours for an initial engineering response. For straightforward selection questions, it’s often same-day. Complex application reviews that require thermal modeling or duty cycle analysis may take slightly longer, but we’ll tell you the expected timeline upfront.
Can you support applications outside your standard motor platforms?
If your application requires a motor technology we don’t offer, we’ll tell you — and where possible, recommend a supplier who can help. We’d rather give you an honest referral than force-fit one of our platforms into an application it wasn’t designed for.
Do you provide application support for motors you’ve already purchased?
Yes. If you’re running TelcoMotion motors in production and encounter a field issue, a design revision need, or a volume change, our application engineering team supports you. For motors purchased from other suppliers, we can evaluate whether a TelcoMotion solution would be a better fit.
Can your application engineers work directly with our engineering team?
Yes — and that’s the preferred model. Engineer-to-engineer conversations eliminate the telephone game between your engineering team, your purchasing team, and our sales channel. We’ll join your design reviews, review your CAD models, and participate in prototype test evaluations directly.
Have a motion control question? Ask an engineer.
No RFQ forms required. Share your application requirements, your spec question, or even a rough sketch — our engineering team responds within 48 hours.
